- „We, painters are interested only in forms and colors
from among the materials objects of the world. We detach them, study
and work with them, because this is our special field. Forms,
originated from the circle, have always attracted me: waves, sponge,
biscuits, arched compositions (from which also the human body can be
composed of). Ellipse is originated from a circle like that,
geometrically a two-centered space, which is a made up of continuously
changing arcs. The circle in the plane, the ball, ellipse, egg in the
space is our most sympathetic, most human, elementary forms (contrary
to the angled square and the more angled, aggressive triangle). For us,
men, the ball-like forms run in the blood in any case, they attract us,
we desire for them, because biologically we are tuned for the balls.
Our eyes, palms are starving for them for ever and ever.”
