- “Working with pure forms inevitably involves having
clear thoughts. Although this process sometimes may seem stony and
pre-calculated, it is really sensitive beyond measure. Moreover, the
surface where the picture gets its final meaning – the viewer’s mind –
is also sensitive. It makes you think without any support, without
telling you what is allowed, what is necessary. The picture exists for
its own sake and is a transmitter between me and the viewer if it
fulfills its primary task, that is, to set the mind free.”
